Buying a '95 5251, What should I look for?

I would be weary.... the timing elt may seem unimportant right now, but the first tihng you should do if you buy it is chage the belt. If your timing belt goes you'll probably mess up valves and need a new head for your car. It pays to do preventive work on the 2.5L BMWs.

We have a 1995 5 series as a 'hooptie'. Rides very nice.
However - just to get you prepared - a typical Beamer defect - the axle and tie rods ( I believe that's what it's called). We always have oneolder (as secondary )
and a brand new BMW...and always have the same problem after it's about ten years old...
How much are they asking for it? If it's a good price, it's still worth bying. Like I said, we always drive BMW's despite those reoccurring defects. It's the ultimate driving mashine, no matter what.... [bmwkick]
