It seems ANYTHING that touches your paint is going to damage the paint.

Vinyl bras with padding --- get particles of dust and dirt under there, then watch as that grit is rubbed into your paint as you travel down the highway and the wind buffets the bra. The paint will also fade at different rates (paint under these bra is always "in the shade").

Clear coverings --- Aside from the bubbles mentioned in the post from "1 Serious" this material will also cause the paint to fade at different rates, and will itself fade and discolor over time and require removal.

My car is 5 years old and has 3-4 tiny paint chips, which look much better than a bra, IMHO.

Stay well back from other vehicles on the road, especially trucks, and rocks won't be flying into your paint. :)
